Memorizing large amounts of vocabulary at once. Imagine you have 1000 words to memorize. Day 1: You memorize 1000 words. Some you vaguely remember, others you've memorized already. Day 2: You select the words you've memorized, leaving only those you're not yet confident about. After a week, you're unsure about the words you used to know, so you need to review all 1000 words again!
